Dr. David Harvey has research interests in issues of heritage and the presentation of the past both in historical and contemporary settings. This work includes a definitive ‘history of heritage’, published in the Ashgate Research Companion to Heritage and Identity (2008). His work has also examined the geographies of regional identity, artistic practice and the creative industries, with a specific focus on South West Britain. He has also carried out work on the historical geographies of landscape and landscape change within South West Britain, using oral histories to understand landscape changes during the 20th Century.

  1. Hi David, I’ve just stumbled across your blog post about the Tianenman Square memorial at Exeter uni. I was one of the students who built it, (I actually carved the stone inscription that was with it) and I was called back about 7 or 8 years ago to do some repairs to it.
